Agreement
By downloading or using Jamaican Recipes ("Irie", "the app"), you agree to these terms. The app is published by Hemiogenic Interactive LLC ("we", "us"). If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What the app is
The app is an offline cookbook of authentic Jamaican recipes, with features such as guided cook mode, favourites, and personal cook's notes. Everything runs on your device; no account is required.
Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Android devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. The app, its recipes, text, photos, and design are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright. You may cook everything in it — that's the point — but you may not copy, resell, scrape, or redistribute the app or its content.
Purchases
The app may offer an optional one-time "Plus" upgrade. Payment is processed by Google Play under Google's terms, and refunds are handled through Google Play's refund policies. The upgrade is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
Cooking is on you
Recipes are provided for general information. You are responsible for safe food handling, checking ingredients against your own allergies and dietary needs, and using kitchen equipment safely. Nothing in the app is medical or nutritional advice.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hemiogenic Interactive LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms from time to time. If the terms change materially, we will update this page before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Hemiogenic Interactive LLC is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
