Owe Mi — Jamaica's Trust Book

Privacy Policy

Effective: June 12, 2026

The short version: Owe Mi collects nothing. Your whole trust book lives on your phone — no account, no cloud, no tracking. And no money moves through the app: Owe Mi is a record book, not a wallet or a lender.

Who we are

Owe Mi is a digital trust book for Jamaican shops, salons, bars and hustlers — track who owes you ("trus"), record payments, and remind people on WhatsApp. It is published by Hemiogenic Interactive LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the app handles your information.

What we collect

Nothing. Owe Mi has no sign-up, no accounts, no backend server, no analytics and no ads. We never see your business name, your customers, their numbers, or any balance in your book.

How your information is used

Everything you enter — your business name, customers, optional WhatsApp numbers, trust entries, payments and notes — is used only to keep your ledger on your own phone. No money moves through Owe Mi: we never touch, hold, lend, or transfer funds, and we never ask for bank or card details. Customers keep paying you how they already pay (cash, bank, Lynk); the app just keeps the score.

Storage & security

All data is stored locally on your device (in the app's private storage). It is protected by your phone's own security — there is no Owe Mi server to breach, because none exists. Uninstalling the app deletes the book, so use the export feature first if you want a backup.

Sharing

We share nothing, because we hold nothing. Two features send data only when you choose to, from your own apps:

WhatsApp reminders — tapping Remind opens WhatsApp with a pre-written message (including the customer's balance) that you can edit before sending. The message goes through your own WhatsApp account, under WhatsApp's privacy policy — not ours.
Export / backup — exporting your ledger as text opens your device's share sheet; it goes only where you send it.

Your choices & deletion

You can edit or delete any customer or entry at any time, and Me → Erase all wipes the entire book instantly. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored. There is no account to close because none exists.

Children

Owe Mi is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13. Because no data is collected from anyone, no data is collected from children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes (for example, if a future version adds optional cloud backup), we will update this page before the change takes effect.
