A very small percentage of people may experience a seizure when exposed to certain visual images, including flashing lights or patterns that may appear in video games — even people with no history of seizures or epilepsy. Symptoms can include lightheadedness, altered vision, eye or face twitching, jerking or shaking of arms or legs, disorientation, confusion, or momentary loss of awareness.
If you or anyone in your household has ever had seizure-related symptoms, consult a doctor before playing. Stop playing immediately and consult a doctor if you experience any of the symptoms above.
You can reduce risk by playing in a well-lit room, sitting a comfortable distance from the screen, and taking regular breaks. Jamaican Ludi also offers a Reduced Motion option in Settings that calms camera movement and impact effects, and separate volume controls for music and effects.
Play in moderation
Take a 10–15 minute break every hour, even if you don’t think you need it — the roadblocks will still be there when you get back. Stop playing if your hands, wrists, or eyes feel tired or sore, and rest before continuing.
Motion and comfort
The game uses cinematic camera moves during captures and celebrations. If camera motion is uncomfortable for you, enable Reduced Motion in Settings › Display, which keeps the camera steady and softens visual effects.
Virtual currency
Coins and gems in Jamaican Ludi are earned by playing, have no real-money value, and cannot be cashed out, traded, or purchased on PC. Stakes and pots are friendly, virtual, and stay inside the game.
