Frequently asked

Is the game free? Are there in-app purchases?

On Steam (Windows PC), Jamaican Ludi is a premium game — you buy it once and that’s it. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, and no coin or gem packs to buy. Coins and gems are earned entirely by playing and are used for things like entering staked matches, tournaments, and unlocking cosmetics. They are virtual only: they have no real-money value and can never be cashed out or exchanged for money.

A mobile version is in development and is not released yet. When it arrives it will be free to download, with a different monetisation model from the PC release; this page will be updated with the details before it ships.

I was charged but can’t install / lost access to the game.

Your purchase of the game is handled entirely by the store you bought it from — currently Steam — and you can always re-download it for free on the same store account. Refunds are governed by that store’s policy. If something looks wrong with a charge, contact the store first; if you’re stuck, email us and we’ll help you sort it out.

I reinstalled and my coins/progress are gone.

Your progress is tied to an anonymous device profile and synced to Unity’s servers. Reinstalling on the same device usually restores it automatically once you’re online. If it doesn’t, email us with your nickname and we’ll help recover your balances and leaderboard standing.

How do I delete my data?

Use the in-game profile reset to clear your local and cloud-saved profile, or uninstall the app to remove local data. To permanently delete your anonymous ID and all server-side data (balances, leaderboard entries), email support@hemiogenic.com — just tell us your in-game nickname. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Online match won’t connect.

Online play needs an internet connection. If a match won’t start, check your connection, make sure the host’s join code is entered correctly, and try again — codes expire if a room sits idle too long. Corporate or school Wi‑Fi sometimes blocks game traffic; a normal home network or mobile data usually fixes it.
